After the global economic crisis at the end of the 1920s was overcome, a new industrial awakening was noticeable everywhere. Daimler-Benz AG, with its commercial vehicle plant in Gaggenau, also developed new, innovative transport vehicles that were particularly impressive in terms of their cost-effectiveness and technical reliability. The introduction of diesel-powered trucks was seen as a real revolution on the truck market.
Have you always been curious about the materials used to make the high-quality CMC models?
With our unpainted, open flatbed truck LO 2750, we are once again proving that when we talk about valuable materials, you can rely on finding them in your model. With a few exceptions, you are holding an all-metal model in your hands, made from zinc injection molding materials, stainless steel, real wood, leather, copper and rubber for the tires. Only the engine is mainly made of high-quality plastic parts.
In this way, a truck was created as a “clear finish” version that exudes a hand-crafted, honest character and is in its own way a unique piece that should not be missing from any collection.
To avoid patina or natural tarnishing, the metal surfaces were sealed with a clear varnish. Another example of a special kind of car model making.
